Very strong and enduring Siberian Husky has been used as a sled dog for several hundred years by Chukchas living in the North-Eastern Asia. He has been well known and respected not in Alaska only, but in many other parts of the world. By now he is famous not as a sled dog only, but as a domestic dog and a usual participant of dog shows and dog contests. Siberian Husky is a very naughty and playful dog. He adores running and playing; it is very important to give him a chance to socialize with other dogs and people.
Sometimes Siberian Husky can chase cats, howl for no reason, dig holes wherever he wants and eat whatever he sees. That is why a proper training is needed. Being a very playful and active dog, it is not recommended to keep Husky in a small apartment, he needs enough space and time to run and jump freely. Having some place inside and outside a house would be perfect for him. He has two layers of fur, so you should brush it at least 1-2 times a week. Though it is highly recommended to brush your dog's fur once a day during molt season.
